1. Online quiz: MCQ (Occurring every two weeks)
Worth: 30%
Individual/Group: Individual
Due: Starting Week 3 (1st quiz), Week 5 (2nd quiz), Week 7 (3rd quiz), Week 9 (4th quiz) and
Week 12 (5th quiz)
Length: 12 minutes
Learning outcomes: LO1, LO2, LO6
There will be a short online multiple-choice quiz that you will have to take starting Week 3. There
will be 5 such online quizzes. Each one of them will check your understanding of the previous
weeks content, including the assigned readings and all other materials on Canvas. Each quiz will
consist of 10 questions, and each question will carry 0.6 marks. Each quiz will be worth 6 marks.
The quiz will have to be taken during the allocated time from 1500 to 1530 AEST on Wednesdays.
You will have 12 minutes to complete the Quiz from when you start during this time.

2. Group presentation
Worth: 30%
Individual/Group: Group
Due: 8:00 am AEST (Sydney Time), Monday, 9th October (Week 10)
Length: 20 minutes (15 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q&A) and 15 slides
Learning outcomes: LO1 LO7 LO6 LO5 LO4 LO3 LO2
You will work on a project in groups of 5 to 6 for which you will make a live presentation in Weeks
10 and 11. You are required to submit the Slides by the due date and time as mentioned above.
–The group will choose a Firm that is planning an Entry into a Foreign market. The Firm has to be
real and should not have already entered into the foreign market that you choose. The Firm can
be from any developed or emerging market. The foreign market could also be any developed or
emerging market.
–Based on substantial research the Group will provide the following analysis
Which market to enter ? Why?
What will be the entry mode (JV, Greenfield or Acquisition)? Why?
How will the new operations fit with the firm’s global strategy?
What are the potential challenges?
