- Collect data from CapitalIQ
- Calculation, numerical analysis, discussion
- Write a report

Submission
• Read the document “Individual project submission guidelines”
• You must include all solutions in ONE single PDF file. When you save
your document, name it as “LastNameFirstName_FINM7401assign.pdf”
• Submission through Blackboard AND Turnitin:
- Blackboard Submission: Use “Individual Project Submission HERE” link. Submit
the PDF file. The submission through this BB link will be graded.
- Turnitin Submission: Use “Individual Project Turnitin Submission HERE” link. The
submission through Turnitin is for similarity check (plagiarism) and hence will not
be graded. It might, however, reduce your assignment grade in case similarities
are detected.
• You must save the official DIGITAL PROOF/RECEIPT when submitting
the assignment. In the event of any disputes, this will be your proof of
submission.
• Late penalties apply! 10% per calendar day (or part thereof)! Don’t
submit at the last minute! DEADLINE: Penalties start from 10.01am.

Problem Set
• Goal: apply the theoretical knowledge you learnt during the lectures to a
practical case.
• Case study: Downloading data from CapitalIQ and estimating a stock
price using the Dividend Discount Method and the Comparable Method
• Some of the questions might go beyond what we covered during the
lectures. You are required to do additional readings.
• The case is worth 41 points and you also get 4 points for clear
presentation and writing (total = 45 points)
• Read carefully the main instructions (page 1).
• Your final document (PDF) must contain all your answers and workings
to the different questions (including results and tables from Excel if you
used it).
• Do not start at the last minute! You probably need 15-25 hours to
complete the entire assignment.

Q&A Individual Project
• On Thursday, 5th October, there will be a special session from 12 pm to
1pm on the individual project
- It will be led by Dr Sabina Yesmine (use Sabina’s Zoom link)
- She will present the case and provide additional information about CapitalIQ
- She will discuss the questions you sent her and answer any new questions
you have.
• Send your questions per email to Sabina (s.yesmine@uq.edu.au) before
Tuesday 3rd October, 10am
• She will compile all the questions in a document and answer them during
the session (no response per email)
• The session will be recorded and posted on BB
