Task Summary
In this Assessment, you will review and analyse the provided case study and write a 750-word report.
This is an individual assessment.
This Assessment will form the basis of a business concept and investor pitch that you will complete
for Assessments 2 and 3.
Please refer to the Task Instructions (below) for details on how to complete this task.
Context
The case study provided in this Assessment describes an organisation, its background and the
problems it faces in a real-world situation. As part of your proposal, you must identify the market gap
or any potential issue(s) and propose entrepreneurial opportunities by suggesting one or more
feasible technological solution(s) to the problem(s) that you have identified in the case study. You
must also discuss the strategies that could be used to implement your proposed solution(s). You
should support your technological solutions and strategies with research and analysis. You have to
include quality, credible and relevant examples. Your technological solution(s) must include a software
programme prototype, which you will develop in Assessment 2.
This Assessment will allow you to demonstrate your reasoning, decision-making and problem-solving
skills. It also encourages the demonstration of critical thinking, technical skills, creative analysis and

synthesis via the application of pre-tested or independently developed models. This Assessment will
allow you to learn more about the current issues related to entrepreneurship, enterprises and market
gaps and engage with these issues. It encourages you to engage in practical reasoning and adopt a
creative approach to problem solving by applying the skills you gained from reading about different
theories.
Task Instructions
To complete this assessment task, follow the instructions below.
1. Read the attached case study.
a. You may wish to take notes and highlight important facts.

investment);
c. For each solution, discuss the strategies that could be used to implement these
technological software solutions. You can provide references and external data to
support your statements;
d. List the advantages and disadvantages of each of your strategies; and
e. Support your solutions and strategies with research and relevant examples.
3. Your report must be related to the case study.
