Task Summary
The goal of this assessment is to develop the business concept and software programme prototype to
solve the problems that were identified in Assessment 1.
During this Assessment, you will form a group of three to four (3–4) members and write a 1,000-word
report and develop a software programme prototype. You will remain in the same group for both
Assessments 2 and 3.
Please refer to the Task Instructions (below) for details on how to complete this task.
Context
In continuation to the previous assessment, you will develop a business concept and a software
programme prototype to solve the problems you identified in the case study. A business concept is an
innovative and a strategic approach to solving problem(s). You will develop a business concept to solve
the problems identified in the case study in Assessment 1. You will select the best solution (based on
CEN207_Assessment_1_Brief_CaseStudy_Module_3. Page 2 of 9
the feedback you received from your learning facilitator on Assessment 1 and discussions with your
group members) and develop the business concept and the software programme prototype based on
your chosen solution.
A successful business concept is a result of efficient teamwork, strong leadership skills and an
innovative mind. To ensure that your proposed business concept is relevant in the market, you will
have to perform a competitive analysis to determine if any similar businesses exist in the market. The
competitive analysis will help you avoid implementing existing solution(s). You can either modify or
propose an alternative to the existing solution(s).
This Assessment will allow you to demonstrate the key skills of teamwork and innovativeness. It will
also enable you to identify a market gap, perform a competitive analysis and develop an innovative
and feasible business concept.
Task Instructions
To complete this Assessment, you must write a 1,000-word report and develop a software programme
prototype.
Software Programme Prototype (Group Submission)

details.
2. Decide on the process to address the market gap identified.
3. Choose the best technological solution based on the facilitator’s feedback and discussions
with your group members from the potential software/technological solutions you identified
in Assessment 1.
4. Formulate a strategy to implement the solution.
5. Develop a code for the software programme prototype to implement your strategy.
Report (Group Submission)
Follow these instructions to complete the report:
1. Your report should include:
a. A statement describing the market gap identified in the case study;
b. A succinct problem statement addressing the problem(s) you are aiming to solve;
CEN207_Assessment_1_Brief_CaseStudy_Module_3. Page 3 of 9
c. An outline of the objectives of the chosen technological solution that will be
implemented to address these problem(s);
d. An explanation of the proposed technological solution;
e. An explanation of the strategies you will use to implement this technological solution;
f. A discussion of topics, such as the strengths of your business concept and its

student email address of each group member.
b. Introduction: Define your problem statement, its relevance to the field and the
objectives of your proposed solution.
c. Body of the Report: Divide this section into paragraphs. The first line of each paragraph
should describe what is going to be discussed in that paragraph. The last line of the
paragraph should summarise what has been discussed in that paragraph.
Include your solution and the strategies that will be used to implement this solution
and a brief explanation of your code.
d. Results: Include the output you have obtained from the implementation of your code.
You can also add tables, images and graphs.
e. Conclusion: Discuss the outcomes of your proposed solution in this section. You can
also provide an outline of the future scope of your proposed solution and any
modifications that you think could be made in the future.
