FINM7407 - Q&A related to the final exam

1. Can I write my answers to my own papers then I upload the file? This is because I do not have
a printer so I cannot print the exam paper.
- Yes, you can, provided that you have to clearly write your full name, student ID,
and the course code on your own papers before uploading.
2. Can I type my answers and upload the file?
- No, you can’t. Your final exam paper must be hand-written.
3. Can I upload several files for the answers to the final exam?
- No, you have to upload only one single file and it must in the pdf format.
4. Are the excel-based solutions/outputs accepted?
- You can use Excel to assist your own calculations. However, your answers to
exam questions must be in the form of handwriting.
5. Can I print the exam paper then write my answers on the exam paper, then scan/copy and
upload the file?
- You cannot write on the exam paper because there is no space for you to do so.
6. What are steps when doing the final exam?
- Prepare your own bank papers (write down your student ID, student name, and
page number on each page of the blank papers)
- Download the final exam paper from the examination link included within the
Blackboard.
- Complete the exam
- Scan or take photo of your answers and compile into a single PDF file.
- Upload your file to Final Exam Submission link.
7. What are the topics covered in the final exam?
- Please read Lecture 12 – Revision
8. Can I digitize my exam by using my ipad and writing onto that on the exam paper? That way I
don't need to wait for it to print and scan it.
- Yes, you can. However, you will have to write on blank papers in your Ipad (such
as Goodnotes) because there is no space for writing on your exam paper.
9. How many decimals should I report in my answer?
- You should report up to 2 or 3 decimals for the final solution. However, during
the calculation process (steps to the final solutions), you should use at least 3
decimals to get a more accurate final solution.
