Assessment instructions Create an event portfolio with 7 sections:
Section 1. A comprehensive overview of the
business event sector in Australia
Section 2. A summary of the key strategies of
Tourism Australia's Business Event Sector.
Section 3. Compare another country's
business event strategy in relation to
Australia’s, including details of a recent bid
(within the last 2 years) to host a major
conference/congress.
Section 4. A summary of the key stakeholders in
the business event sector and the role they play in
securing major events to a destination.
Section 5. Choose one of the following global
conference/congress parameters to research:
- Associations in Sustainable Tourism
- Associations in Technology
- Associations in Sports Management
a). An analysis of the key global
stakeholders of your chosen parameter and
events surrounding these.
b). An overview of a chosen Association
& their member demographics from your
chosen parameter above. And an in-depth
program analysis (with images of program)
on how they planned & delivered a recent
annual conference (within past 2 years), to
optimize association member attendee
