Assignment:
Detail of the tasks that students are expected to complete as part of the assignment remit.
Each individual is to complete a 2,000 word essay examining and analysing ONE of the following topics.
1) Disasters, whether natural or created by humans, are becoming more prevalent globally. For example, the recent Covid pandemic, wars, natural disasters such as floods, tsunamis, and terrorism, or global warming. Disaster management is now a discipline in its own right, but such events also have a serious impact on global markets. Discuss this drawing upon a specific case, country, industry or service to illustrate your analysis.
2) Nostalgia is now as much a commodity as it is a species of memory: Discuss this statement illustrating your answer with one in-depth analysis of a nostalgia product, service, or consumer experience.
3) Old brands do not have to die, they can be given new life, new stories and new consumers. Discuss this statement drawing on one or two examples of brands that have been revitalized in new international markets.
