NF6012 HTML+CSS Coursework 2023-24
Task'
Using only the techniques?, HTML tags' and CSS properties covered in the
HTML+CSS strand of INF6012 2023-24, handcraftS a website on a topic of your choice. It should demonstrate your understanding of the HTML+CSS techniques and recommendations taught in this module. It should also adhere to the following criteria:
• The website contains a single "landing page" and four other linked web pages (five web pages in total)
• Each web page contains at least one embedded' image and sufficient text
• All five web pages change their layout and appearance according to the width" of the browser window!2
• Although the displayed website text and images can be copied, the HTML and CSS must entirely be your own work
• The website files are contained within a single folder. This folder could be moved to any other computer and the website still works as intended when viewed using Firefox on a University computer. The folder should have the same name as your University Registration Number (eg.
23098766)
• The website topic must be unique within INF6012. A list of possible topics can be found below. A list of all INF6012 website topics currently chosen can be found in this Google Sheet, Students should add their topic to this.

• Only use MS Notepad (like in the laboratories). Do not use any application (e.g. Dream weaver) or service (e.g. GoDaddy.com) which automatically creates the HTML and/or CSS.
• See the marking criteria to understand how best to 'demonstrate" your HTML+CSS skills. You should aim to cover all the techniques taughtin INF6012 HT ML+CSS.

• How the pages are linked is your decision. However, it must be possible to visit every page of
your website by browsing
* An 'embedded image is not a background image. However, you are welcome to use background images too
1º The text is unimportant for this assessment eg it can be any language
" One page layout/format for browser widths 700px or less and another for browser widths more than 700px
The website will be viewed using a FireFox browser in 'The Wave' Computer Rooms 2a/b
13 The source of any copied text or images should be displayed somewhere prominent on your website. There is no need to follow any referencing style
• This should be done at the earliest opportunity to help ensure the website submitted is unique.
The ultimate deadline is the HTML+CSS implementation deadline. Students who complete this document too late risk losing up to 100 marks for creating a website similar to another student s.
