You currently work as a team at a major investment bank and have been tasked by the
Investment Management Division (IMD) to analyse a stock that will be incorporated into a
portfolio with other assets from the same market. You will need to prepare a recorded
presentation to the leadership of Investment Management Division (IMD) that answers the
questions proposed in this investment brief as well as a final recommendation.
1. Tasks
Task 1 Overview and growth history
Provide an overview of your chosen company. List the company’s key financial stats and a
brief overview of its business segments and products/services. Describe the industry the
company operates in and its position within the industry. Discuss relevant market trends and
the competitive landscape.
Review the revenue growth history of the company from 2014 to 2023. Highlight key
milestones and factors that have contributed to its development. Has the revenue growth led
to consistent dividend growth? Why or why not? Will the revenue growth be sustainable?
Will the dividend growth be sustainable?
Task 2 Risk
Introduce the methodology that you’ve followed to measure the total risk and the systematic
risk of the company. Compare the company's risk measures to the industry average/those of
the key competitor. Discuss how the company's beta positions it relative to the industry/the
key competitor, indicating whether it is more or less sensitive to market movements.

Task 3 Valuation
Assess the intrinsic value of the company using dividend growth model. Discuss the
assumptions made and the sensitivity of the valuation to changes in key variables.
Task 4 Catalysts/threats and Recommendations
Highlight any upcoming events, strategic initiatives, or market trends that could serve as
catalysts/threats for the company's future growth.
Clearly state your recommendations for the audience. This could include a recommendation to
buy, sell, or hold the company's stock. Provide a concise rationale for your recommendations,
referencing key findings from the previous sections.
Task 5 Limitations
Critically assess and discuss the weaknesses and limitations inherent in your analysis. Identify
potential challenges, assumptions, or uncertainties that may impact the accuracy and reliability
of your valuation. Articulate any caveats you would incorporate into your recommendation
based on the identified limitations. Highlight any internal and/or external factors that could
influence the valuation outcomes and warrant a nuanced interpretation of the results.
2. Deliverable
The main deliverable of this assignment is a pre-recorded video presentation in which all
members of the group need to participate. The presentation should last between 8-12 minutes
and each group member needs to present for at least 2 minutes. A maximum of 7 slides should
be included among which:
1. A slide with the names and SIDs of the group members (ensure that the order of the
names aligns with the order of the presentation).
2. A list of references/sources used in the presentation.
3. Submission
The video presentation (including the slides) should be submitted by 11:59pm (Sydney time)
on Sunday 12 May 2024 (Week 11).
Submission links will be provided on Canvas for your video file and Powerpoint presentation
slides (as a .pptx file). Only one member (the group leader) should submit the relevant files on
behalf of the whole group. Consistent with Business School practice, a late submission penalty
will be applied if your submission is not received by the announced due date/time.

All the members of the group will be awarded the same mark for Tasks 1 to 5 as you are
expected to equally contribute to the overall analysis. Individual presentation skills will be
assessed separately, with 5 marks allocated based on individual performance during the
presentation.
