FRST30001 Forest Systems Pre-Workshop 2 Assessment Task Task Description One way to determine how seriously and effectively Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) is being implemented by land managers is to assess the online visibility and details provided via this medium. For this task, assess the digital information provided by each of the countries involved in the Montreal Process and rate how effectively SFM is presented online by them. Some aspects you may assess could include (but not limited to) • Ease of finding SFM information. • Clarity and depth of information provided. • Visual Appearance. • Functionality/User Friendliness. For the submission, create a table and short descriptive table legend that summarises your findings. Note: We will expand on this activity in class by looking into how well SFM is being implemented in these countries so please don’t comment in these aspects. Your response needs to be 100 (+10%) words or less equivalent. See assessment criteria below for more detail as to what is expected Assessment Criteria The following assessment criteria will be used to assess the questions as part of the quiz with weightings for each noted. This assessment task is worth 2.5% of the total mark for the subject. Assessment Criteria Weighting (%) How effective and useful is the rating system developed for analysing the online presentation of SFM? The rating system developed should be intuitive and relevant in the context of the assessment. 30 How comprehensive and fair was the analysis of the online presentation of SFM? The analysis should provide a reasonable and clear rating for each country and for each of the criteria developed. 30 How well has the table of the online presentation of SFM been constructed and presented? The table should be appropriate and easy follow. 20 How effectively does the table legend describe the table?
