Context/Purpose of assessment
• This assessment task will assist you to develop the critical thinking and written
communication skills needed to be successful on the Diet and Exercise Plan Report later in
the semester.
• The Workshop Assessment task also allows to you think about how the content of the online
modules (4&5) relates to you as an individual and to the wider population.
Task
Calcium and iron are both important for your health wellbeing. In this task, please choose ONE
(calcium OR iron) and relate back to your personal situation and goals.

Write a few paragraphs addressing the following questions:
• Consider why it is most important for you to consume calcium OR iron for your own health,
well-being and fitness? Include what influences the amounts of iron OR calcium that you
consume in your diet and the relevant health effects this may have.
• Relate this information to your own personal exercise situation and discuss what exercise
GOAL you want to achieve (this may be current or in the future and should be specific)
• Briefly describe the exercise prescription most appropriate to achieve your goals. Be sure to
include the frequency, intensity, type and time (FITT) process in your answer, as well as
explain and justify your overall response.
To save words, you may use a small table to summarise your weekly exercise training e.g.
