1 Key Information
ˆ April 15th (Tuesday), 10AM to 11:30AM
ˆ 90 minutes in total
ˆ Wattle-based online exam
ˆ Exam paper will be posted in Wattle section Assessments/Mid-term Exam
ˆ Open-book and all materials are permitted (including Excel)
ˆ You can hand-write or type your answers
ˆ Submission through Wattle before the end of exam
ˆ Worth 15% of your final grade and is redeemable
ˆ No deferral exam will be arranged. Any missed exam will be automatically redeemed
towards final exam
ˆ This exam is to be completed individually. You are not permitted to contact or collaborate
with other students or persons during the exam. You will be required to agree on a
declaration at the beginning of the exam.
2 Question Format
ˆ 15 Marks in total
ˆ One declaration of solely own work (0 Mark).
ˆ Three multiple choice questions, only one correct answer to each question (3 Marks).
ˆ Two multi-step computational questions with some conceptual discussions (6 Marks).
ˆ One comprehensive question (6 Marks).
ˆ Background story of the comprehensive question will be posted on Wattle in advance
ˆ Please round to two decimal places in intermediate steps and final answers. In particular,
round percentages (such as return or rate) to 0.00%, and round dollar value to $0.00.
ˆ Submit in Word or PDF. E.g. you can use Microsoft Lens to scan file into PDF. Try not
to take photos directly.
3 Exam Coverage
ˆ All content from Lecture, Workshop and tutorial from week 1 to 5.
ˆ Week 6 will not be covered
ˆ A practice exam paper and past exam paper are posted on Wattle

ˆ The progress test exam paper will be posted when exam starts at 10AM, April 15th
(Tuesday), under the Assessments/Progress test section
ˆ Answer all questions and please write the question numbers clearly before your answers
ˆ Please write your name/student id at least on the first page of your answer
ˆ Make submission before 11:30AM through submission link
