Examples of some projects to consider
• A potential problem or opportunity at your current workplace.
• An organisation that you would like to secure an internship or job with. Research the
organisation and its' industry. Tailore your assessment work as part of your case for the
internship (i.e. Key stakeholder would be the internship supervisor or manager at the
company).
• An industry specific initiative to demonstrate your knowledge and skills to potential
employers or clients. Something you could list on your LinkedIn profile (i.e. hosting an
event, marketing campaign etc).
• For the entrepreneurially minded - the launch phase of a new venture.
• A family or community initiative (i.e. home renovation, cultural or outreach project).

When you use a reference in an assessment you are
declaring that you have read it, and that the information
you are providing comes from that reference.
Fake, bogus, made-up References:
• are lies
• means you are making claims that are unfounded or false,
• meaning the research in your assessment submission is fabricated.
• therefore, will be reported for Academic Integrity violation

Referencing
You need to adhere to APA 7th Edition Referencing Guidelines in your writings (in-
text and reference list) – this is part of good academic integrity practice and your
grades.
You need to use academic references (e. g. textbooks, industry or academic
journal). Appropriate websites may be used as references. Always check to see the
minimum references that are required for your assessment
We must be able to find those references – so always include the link to the source,
e.g. URLs or DOIs.
Use references relevant to the assessment brief and check the rubrics to see what %
relates to your mark. Use some of the references from the modules.

Things that can happen if you violate
Academic Integrity?
▪ Goes on your academic record which potential employers see
▪ Damages your reputation in study, work and your community for the rest of your life
▪ Failing an assessment
▪ Failing the subject
▪ Suspension from the university
▪ Expelled from the university
▪ Unable to graduate
▪ Loss of student visa if an international student
▪ Cost of failing a subject is not just limited to the subject fees, but also all your living costs for
another term.
▪ You open yourself to blackmail. Contract writers can threaten to reveal your cheating to your
university or to a current or future employer. This threat never goes away, so the risk could
haunt you for a very long time.
The Australian Government passed legislation in September 2020 which makes contract cheating services
illegal, with criminal penalties.

Things that will affect your mark
Step 5 - Submission
1. Must be a PowerPoint file.
2. Submissions via MyLearn only.
3. Must include Turnitin.
4. PDF submissions and those without a Turnitin will not be marked!
5. Late submissions result in a 10% penalty per day with 100% penalty on day 5.
6. Anything submitted after 7 days does not count as a submission unless
supported with an approved special consideration
7. Any extensions must be approved (using a Special Consideration Form) and
signed-off 24 HOURS prior to the assessment due date. No exceptions.
