This final assignment comes in three parts and is worth 20 percent of your final mark. You must submit written assignments for this final assessment. Videos and art projects will not be accepted. For best marks you should do the following: 1. Outline the five most important concepts or ideas you learned by reading The Rocket Scientists’ Guide to Money and the Economy, and show how these concepts are relevant to this course. Your response here should be about 400 words and is worth 5 percent of your total mark in the course. 2. Provide a 400-word reflection on the following statement: “Climate change isn’t just about the environment. It is about racial, social, and economic injustices as well.” This response is worth 5 percent of your total mark in the course. 3. For part three of this assignment, write a 1200- to 1600-word essay answering the question, “What have I learned in this course?” To complete this question, review the commentaries for each unit, go over your notes, and review your learning journal submissions. This is a free-form answer. Write whatever you want. You do not have to cite the text or refer to any sources for this assignment. Instead, simply ask yourself the question and then let the ideas flow. Please include a title page with your response. This response is worth 10 percent of your total mark in the course. Be creative. Be honest. Be expressive. Be concise. • Be comprehensive. Try to say something about each of the units, including those units you did not specifically write a learning journal for (the unit on the environment and the unit on deviance). • Stay within the word limits of the assignment. • Make sure to cite the text and commentary where appropriate. • 2025/9/23 18:36 Final Assignment - Instructions - SOCI287: Intro. to Sociology (Rev. 7) https://learning.athabascau.ca/d2l/le/content/18512/viewContent/557902/View 2/4 If you are submitting a written response and do not have access to MS Word, please remember to save your document as a DOCX file before uploading it to the assignment submission link.
