Multimedia Production Implementation and Delivery
Complete Assignment Due: 11:59pm, Wednesday (in Week11), 22 October 2025
GENERAL
This individual assignment is worth 17% of the total assessment of this unit of study. In this assignment, you are asked
to build an interactive multimedia production on your chosen topic as in Assignment 1.

TASKS - Your multimedia production MUST meet the following requirements:
1. Showcase and highlight your multimedia capabilities on [70%]
a. Image enhancement, retouching and compositing – Highlight on any updates/revision (as per the assignment
1 feedback/marking) on the required image components including but not limited to the personalized logo,
banner images, and project poster. [5%]
b. 3D animation - You need to include and demonstrate your extra capabilities (in addition to the fundamental
techniques that you have learned in your lab tutorials) in generating impressive 3D animation. [50%]
c. Video compositing and sound – You need to conduct and demonstrate impressive and creative video
compositing for your selected theme. High quality well-designed video trailer must be provided for the
project; and utilize sound effects and streaming sound. [15%]
Please clearly and explicitly:
■ Explicitly clarify which part of the product is from AI and which part is from your own
implementation.
■ Details on each key step and procedure of your design/implementation. When AI is being used, detail
on how AI is used and the corresponding details on each key step and procedure.
■ Highlight and showcase the merits of your implementation or AI generated implementation.
2. Web authoring [15%] - your final production must be available and functioning on the local web as built by you.
And submit a zip file of the web files via Canvas and all the relevant original files to your tutor through CloudStor.
a. Create a website for your multimedia production – your website should be unique and impressive to fit
the requirements of your perspective clients.
b. Interactive user navigation & production usability - You need to design and implement your
production with considerations of ease of navigation and usability.
c. Your website must contain all the required multimedia components and accomplish all tasks.
d. Your images, animations, video clips and graphics must display appropriately in screen size.
3. Design and Working report [15%] that contains the descriptions on your theme and design, the storyboard, interface
and related scenes, development procedures and design aspects of your production. You need to address:
a. Design [5%]
• Aesthetic design & technical creativity / innovation - You need to design your production following
design principles and you are encouraged to explore and demonstrate your creativity / innovation in your
production.
• Articulate your design ideas and underlying meanings of your unique personalized logo for your
name or for your production, production poster, and your web page in your working report.
b. Highlight any special features that you have explored and explain the creation/enhancement/processing
procedure and details of the special features. [10%]

IMPORTANT NOTES
1. You need to do systematic testing of the multimedia production you create.
2. Your production must be demonstrated during your presentation in Week11/12 as allocated. If you miss the
presentation because of serious illness or misadventure, you should request Special Consideration online

working days of the assessment.
3. Recall that the University takes plagiarism very seriously, and it would be useful for you to review this policy.
4. Use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and automated writing tools
AI use is permitted in assessments for this course, subject to the student always (1) acknowledging AI has been used in
their submitted assessments; (2) detail their AI uses and provide a critique the effectiveness of these AI uses based on the
assessment guidance. Inappropriate use of generative AI is considered a breach of the Academic Integrity Policy and
penalties may apply.
Your final submission must be your own, original work. For instance, posters, banners, and videos that are solely
and entirely generated by generative AI will NOT be acceptable.

SUBMISSION
Important notes on submission
■ Submit your assignment before 11:59pm, Wednesday in week 11.
■ It is your responsibility that all the submitted parts are working properly.
■ Failure to submit the required contents will lead to receiving NO marks.
■ Late submission: in accordance with University policy, these penalties apply when written work is submitted
after 11:59pm on the due date:
• Deduction of 5% of the maximum mark for each calendar day after the due date.
• After ten calendar days late, a mark of zero will be awarded.
(1) Documentation [Through Canvas]
The documentation of your working report must be in Microsoft Word format (*.doc) or Adobe PDF format. Make
sure to include an assignment cover sheet with your declaration and signature.
(2) Production [Through Cloudstor]
■ Students MUST build the web locally and submit a zip file of the web via Canvas.
■ You are asked to create a zip file of all the materials used in your assignment, including your documentation
such as reports, banner images and manuals, all the application script / raw files, HTML files, and all the
multimedia files (gif/jpeg/mov/avi etc), and poster.
■ You are asked to submit your zip file through CloudStor to your tutor.
