The final assessment is available for download from Moodle from 12pm Friday the 24th of October 2025. Head to folder “Final take home assessment’. When is the due date of the final assessment? The due date is 11:55pm Monday, the 3rd of November, 2025. Is the BFF5555 final take home assessment open book? Yes, the assessment is open book where you download the document from Moodle, complete it at your own time and submit your response by the due date. Can I discuss the assessment questions with other people? No. This is an individual assessment. You must not discuss with other people inside or outside the unit, or share your work with other students. Such action may constitute academic misconduct and result in severe consequences. Can I use generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools? Refer to the Use of AI policy in the Assignment document. What is the structure of the BFF5555 final assessment? The BFF5555 final assessment will comprise 3 questions with a focus on the materials in the second half of the program. What should I do to ensure high marks? To achieve a high mark in this assessment, your submission should demonstrate both technical execution and clarity of documentation. Refer to the marking rubric for each question. How do I submit my work? Upon completion of this assessment task, upload the Jupyter Notebook(s) and data file as required, making sure AI declaration has been completed. This submission must occur by the due date stated above. If you realise you made a mistake in your submission, relax! Contact the teaching staff and they will revert the submission back to draft. In total, you have 2 submission attempts including the first submission. Is there a hurdle requirement for BFF5555? No, there is no hurdle requirement for this unit. If you achieve less than 50% in the final assessment but your overall mark for the unit is 50% or above, you will pass the unit. What consultation is available? Consultation is held during the SWOT Vac period. Refer to the Unit Dashboard in Moodle for the consultation schedule. Can I ask questions regarding the final assessment after it has been released? Yes, you can ask questions to clarify your understanding of the questions in the final assessment. You can also ask Python related questions, as long as they are general and not about a specific question in the assessment. You can ask these questions either at the consultations or by posting on Moodle. Keep the questions general and do not reveal your own solution. If your question reveals solutions that may advantage other students, the chief examiner reserves the right to remove such question. If you email clarification questions to the teaching staff, we reserve the rights NOT to respond. What if I am sick during the window of the final assessment? If you have exceptional circumstances beyond your control, you may be eligible to apply for special consideration so you have more time to complete your assessment task. Getting an extension on your assessment task might impact future assessments, so you should still try to complete your assessments as soon as possible.
