1 INFS6004 Digital Business Transformation Assignment 1 2026 Individual in-class pitch – Specification This assignment assesses research and critical analysis skills required of an independent learner able to keep up to date with the latest practices in digital transformation and change. You are required to deliver an individual 90-second in-class pitch on the digital transformation of a company you select, supported by a one-page poster. Your pitch and poster must demonstrate your original description and analysis, and make explicit links to relevant concepts from INFS6004. Marks: 15% of the unit assessment. Note: Individual assignment Due date: 20 March 2026, before 11:59 pm, submit the assignment through the INFS6004 CANVAS site. Presentation timing: Week 5 or Week 6 in your scheduled tutorial. Specific date TBC. Requirements: (1) a one-page poster (PDF), (2) a 90-second in-class pitch using the poster as your only visual aid (displayed on screen as a single slide), and (3) a brief peer Q&A Poster format guidelines: • One page only (A4 landscape recommended), export to PDF. • Include your name and SID in the poster • Design for readability on screen, use clear headings and visuals, and keep text concise. • Include in-text citations for key facts and a short reference list at the bottom (APA 7th). • Focus on the transformation story, the business value, and your evaluation, NOT a company overview. Pitch guidance: • 90 seconds maximum, practice to stay within time. • Use the poster as your only visual (no additional slides). • Do not bring a script and read; this is a presentation! • After each pitch, there will be a brief Q&A. Your tutor will allow one student to ask a question, and you will need to respond to the question. Your tutor may also ask follow-up questions. Activities & Deliverables • Select a company of interest to you and identify a specific digital transformation initiative that is relevant to INFS6004 and the Marking Guide. • Research and gather credible evidence to support your description and analysis. Aim to use recent sources, and ensure they are properly referenced • Prepare a one-page poster that summarises the case and your analysis. The poster must be readable on screen, and should use clear headings, visuals (make it eye-catching), and concise text (not paragraphs!). • Deliver a 90-second pitch in class using your poster as the only visual. Keep strictly to time and focus on the most important insights. • Participate in peer Q&A during the session: ask one constructive question of a peer and respond to questions about your pitch. • Marks are awarded for the depth and originality of your analysis, your integration of course concepts, the clarity of your communication, and the quality of evidence and referencing.
