Activity 1. Testing mediation using data from Chapter 7, Edwards, Edwards & Jang
(2024)
Task
1. Use the below three variables contained in the dataset (Chapter 7 Customer
satisfaction only N2507.sav) from Example 1a in Chapter 7, Edwards et al. (2024) to
conduct a test of mediation with the following model:
• X (Predictor): CustSatMean
• M (Mediator): Custloyalty
• Y (Outcome): INvestMore
Your analyses should either follow the approach of the
a) Baron and Kenny steps for testing mediation, or
b) use the PROCESS macro for testing mediation in SPSS
(see lecture 8 for more details of both approaches).
