MGT2010 BUSINESS DECISION ANALYSIS

You are Director of Operations for a successful Scottish clothes fashion company based in Glasgow.
The company designs male and female clothes items for well-known retailers such as Primark, Zara,
Next, and Top Shop. You currently have the clothes manufactured outside Scotland in several
factories in South East Asia.
Amnesty International have highlighted concerns about the working conditions in these factories
where your clothes range is manufactured. This coincides with your company’s annual production
and supply chain review which you require to submit to your Executive Board by 4th August 2021 on
how the company should proceed in relation to its production and supply chain policies.
The report requires you to draw upon both qualitative and quantitative data to present your analysis
to the Executive Board to inform their decision. Consider what types of data you should present to
them, the data sources you would draw upon, and what stakeholders will have an interest in the
final decision made and why.
You are not required to provide any recommendations to the Executive Board, but to simply present
a report to them in order for them to make an informed decision about how to proceed with the
company’s production and supply chain policies from August 2021 onwards.
