Questions There will be a number of questions of unequal value totalling 100 marks (which will then be converted
back to a mark out of 50)
There will be a mix of multiple-choice questions, short-answer questions (including discussion
style questions) and problems.
A structure of the questions/marks per page will be provided by 10 August in Moodle. There
will be questions covering cash flow worth at least 30 marks out of the 100 marks.
Topics covered All topics are considered assessable. Nothing is specifically excluded.
Past papers Two previous papers (with solutions) are available on Moodle (under Final Exam Resources). Each
term is unique and students should not infer anything about this term’s examination from the past
examination papers. Past papers are based on a face to face written exam. Some of these
questions have been converted to a practice online quiz available in Moodle to enable you to
practice answering these questions in the online environment.
Exam
Consultation
Staff will be available at their usual times up until the end of Week 10.
After this, staff will be available for consultation at the following times via Zoom:
Tuesday 10 August Nicole Ang 1pm-3pm Sydney Time
Wednesday 11 August Kate Morgan 12pm-1:30pm Sydney Time
Thursday 12 August Kate Morgan 3pm-4:30pm Sydney Time

No consultation will be conducted by email or by telephone. The best opportunity to seek assistance
regarding the content of ACCT5930 will be at the above consultation or raise a question in the Q&A
final exam forum. Please note this forum will close 9pm Sydney time the night before the exam.
Important
notes
? Students are expected to complete the exam independently. You are not allowed to copy,
take photos, provide answers to another student, copy the work of another student, talk to anyone
during the exam. Ignoring these instructions is considered academic misconduct.
? Before commencing the exam, it is advisable to be free of distraction during the exam time
and make sure your internet connection is stable (and is fast enough).
? Please ensure that you plan your time accordingly. If you log out of the exam during its
completion, or your connection to the exam is interrupted, you may log back into the exam and
resume the attempt in progress. Your answers to the questions completed will have been
saved. Remember, however, that the timer continues (even when you are not logged into the
exam). Once the time has elapsed, if you have not already submitted your responses, your
responses will automatically be submitted and graded (irrespective of whether you are logged
into the exam or not).

Academic
integrity pledge
To attempt the exam you will be asked to accept the following conditions upon commencement of
the exam:
UNSW student online assessment academic integrity pledge
For this online assessment:
I agree to be bound by the following UNSW online academic code of conduct:

? As a member of the UNSW community, I will not participate in or tolerate academic
dishonesty.
? I will do this graded online assessment work on my own. In the case where I collaborate with
other students this would be an act of academic dishonesty and would have serious
consequences for my continued studies.
? I agree that I was not provided with any assistance from other students including screenshots
or answers.
? I agree to not share the answers and not take any screenshots.
? I agree to not provide any other students with any screenshots or answers because this will
create an unfair advantage of my fellow students and decrease their learning opportunity.
? I agree to not provide any answers or screenshots on any third-party websites because the
questions are the intellectual property of the university and this would be giving away the
property.
? I will undertake the online assessment alone in a private room and agree that I will not have
other people in the room with me when I undertake this online assessment.
? I will switch my mobile phone to silent, put it face down somewhere in my room away from the
computer/laptop and not use the mobile phone during the online assessment.

By clicking on the ‘Attempt quiz now’ button, I agree to the above that I follow the binding Code
UNSW to not engage in academic dishonesty.
Special
Consideration
Students wishing to apply for special consideration should refer to the relevant sections of the
Course Outline. Students who are granted supplementary assessment will be advised by email
approximately one week prior to the assessment to their official UNSW student email account. If
you do not receive an email, you have not been granted supplementary assessment. The
Supplementary Exam will be held over 6-10 September 2021. It is your responsibility to keep
yourself available for this period if you apply for special consideration.
Issues during
the exam
Further details on support during the exam will be released closer to the exam.

All content relating to this exam will be loaded under the section ‘Final Exam Resources’.

If you have any questions about this exam, please load them into the ‘Final exam’ Q&A forum or contact Kate. If I
am asked questions directly about the assessment and the answer is relevant to other students, I will load these
questions and answers into this Q&A forum.

Please continue to monitor the Moodle announcements and your student emails for further updates.
Nicole and I are wishing you all the best and good luck!
Regards,
Kate (k.morgan@unsw.edu.au)
