This is a group assignment for this module and the total weighting for the entire
assignment is 40% (Report – 30% & Presentation – 10%)

 Report submission Due date: Week 14 –22nd April 2022 (Friday)
 The assignment should be done by a group of 5 members
Group presentation;
 All group members are required to participate in the presentation and failure
to do so by the due date would result in automatic failure (0 mark) of this
coursework.
 Duration for the presentation: 15-20 minutes

The assignment:
Health Consciousness and Behaviour among Malaysian.

Nowadays, Malaysians are not health-conscious and don't exercise enough, thus resulting in
illnesses. There were about 11 million out of 16 million adult Malaysians who were sick with
a non-communicable disease like diabetes, hypertension, cancer and kidney failure. What is
even more alarming is that these victims are made up of young people. As a young people,
their health is one of their assets. Without it, our quality of life will be reduced as this is the
critical time to growth our self and our lifestyle. We must never take things for granted.
Knowing this, it has become a great interest to study on health behaviour of Malaysian and
how conscious are they towards their healthy;

1- Demography of potential students (gender, age, religion, level of education, weight,
height, etc.).
2- BMI (Height and Weight).
3- Health condition (any sickness, medicine consuming)
4- Eating habit (meal per day, preferable type of meal)
5- Physical activity (exercise, sports activity)
6- Leisure activity (hobby, smoking habit, hours of sleep)

Objective of the study - You may choose any relevance objectives for this study.
(Minimum of 3 objectives)
Suggested objective:
i. To recognize the health consciousness among young people.
ii. To investigate the behavior of health among young people.
iii. To evaluate the effect of health behavior among young people.

Assume that University management approached you to help them on this issue. You are
required to submit a managerial report which includes the following:
a) Executive Summary (Abstract)

b) Introduction (including methodology)
(10 marks)
c) Data Analysis (by using IBM-SPSS) – Please select 100 samples from the dataset;
i. Obtain an appropriate chart for Gender, Age, Weight, Race and Employment Status.
Interpret each chart.
ii. Conduct a one sample t-test by choosing any suitable variable in dataset in order to
meet your objective. Interpret the result.
iii. Conduct a two sample t-test by choosing any suitable variable in dataset in order to
meet your objective. Interpret the result.
iv. Conduct a chi-square test (Test of independence/association) by choosing any suitable
variable in dataset in order to meet your objective. Interpret the result.
v. Conduct a linear regression analysis by choosing any suitable variable in dataset in
order to meet your objective. Interpret the result.
