■ Include the question you’re answering at the top of your answer
■ Your responses should be approximately 300 words each (+/- 10%), not inclusive of
bibliography
■ Please include a word count after each of your answers
■ Responses should be in complete sentences / paragraphs
■ In each answer, you must cite at least two of the resources (readings, videos, lectures,
etc.) listed in the syllabus/on Quercus
■ You can cite other sources, from beyond class, but this is not necessary
■ Provide one consolidated bibliography for the readings/videos/etc. you cite in your
answers (this is not included in the word count. You can use whatever reference style
guide you like)
■ TIPS: Define any key terms in your answer (e.g. Anthropocene, equity, etc.). It may also be
helpful to use concrete examples to support your arguments

■ 8. What is abject capital, and how does it relate to sustainability?
■ 9. What does a singular focus on Gross Domestic Product overlook, and how does
this relate to the pursuit of sustainability?
■ 10. What are the planetary boundaries, and what do they tell us about
sustainability?
