Mid-term Exam Instructions

Mid-term
• 20% of total assessment
• Online Closed Book (recorded) Exam
• 20 Multiple Choice Questions
• Only one answer is correct to each question
• You are supposed to pick the most appropriate answer.
• You have 1 hour to work on the problems.
• Some of the questions require you to perform simple calculation
• You can have one hand-held calculator / financial calculator
• You can have 2 scratch sheets
• Date : 10 Sep 2022 (Saturday) 5-6 pm
• Please be 10 minutes early to get ready.
Mid-term (preparation)
• Coverage
• Lecture 1- Lecture 4, Tutorial 1- Tutorial 4
• Practice with the examples from lecture slides and questions from tutorials.
• Sample questions for practice
• Practice with the questions by yourself
• Answers to sample questions will be uploaded next Thursday
• Formula Sheet
• Course review doc & weekly lecture wrap up
Special Consideration & Replacement Exam
• Do not panic if you encounter any technical issues during the exam.
• If you have valid reasons for special consideration, you may apply
through the system.
• The course coordinator does not process the special consideration
application. You do not need to email me about this matter.
• In the last semester, the replacement exam took place at the end of
week 10. The schedule of replacement exam will only be informed by
the exam office 3 working days in advance. The course coordinator
will get to know the date the same time as you do.
