i) Load the depth-to-groundwater data (see Pandas csv tutorial for help)

ii) (5 marks) Calculate the groundwater change at each of the sites from a combination of satellite data and
soil moisture modelling data i.e. Δ Groundwater = Δ TWS – Δ soil moisture

iii) (5 marks) Plot the time series of depth to groundwater level and groundwater calculated in ii) for each
well site using two different y-scales on the same plot (hint: matplotlib twinx)

iv) (3 marks) Calculate the effective porosity at each location i.e. Δ depth-to-groundwater ´ porosity = Δ

v) (5 marks) Produce a spatial map of effective porosity over the region (i.e. interpolate between the
discrete data points), include the Murray-Darling Basin and well site locations on your map

vi) (2 marks) Comment on your results and the limitations of this study
