time zone, please contact us immediately!
Permitted materials
Open book exam with any materials, provided that:
* These materials are available before the exam
started. Those posted during the exam (e.g. in
’cheating’ websites) are strictly prohibited!
* You must provide the exact URL to an online
material that you used, so that we can directly
identify its relevance to the exam.
* Only materials in English are allowed.
Cheating, plagiarism and
misconduct
The exam is individual!
* Any sign of collaborations or suspicious
behaviour will be investigated.
* If you are found with academic misconduct, not
only we apply mark penalty, but the record will
also be retained at the University.
* Repeated offence may be documented in your
transcript!
Types of questions
4–5 free-text answer questions in quiz format– you
must write your answers into the answer box.
* 4-5 programming questions that you need to
write some code into the answer box (similar to
homework), but we only mark code functionality
(no code quality is considered except that
implementation comments explaining your code
should be included. You may get partial marks if
you describe what you intended doing.)
* Look at (better solve) lab 10 for examples of
previous exam questions!
* COMP6730 students will get additional
question(s).
Support during the exam
* Exam paper will be posted on Wattle and
answers can be submitted on Wattle, just like
homework or project assignment.
* The Teams channel ’Final exam Q and A’ will be
actively monitored during the exam.
* You can post exam-related questions there and
we will answer quickly.
* We can’t help with technical problems at your
end, such as computer system or Python
environment.
Recording your attempt
* We may select some students for validation,
which may change your mark as a result.
* If requested, you can instead provide a
recording of your attempt.
- Recording must show your screen activity.
- A video of yourself sitting the exam.
- Show your student ID card (or any other ID
card) at the beginning of the video.
* As an example, you can start a new Teams or
zoom meeting with yourself, turn on the
recording and save it to the cloud or your local
computer.
