Final Exam: Date and Duration
• Date of exam: Monday 14/11/2022
• Start - 17:00 (5 pm) Sydney, Australia time
• Duration: 3 hours and 25 minutes. This includes:
• 3 hours for writing the exam
• 10 minutes of reading time, but you can start writing whenever you
are ready– you are strongly encouraged to use this time for planning
and structuring your answer
• 15 minutes of upload time to allow you to upload your files as per
your exam instructions. Do NOT treat this as extra writing time.
The upload time must be used solely to save and upload your files
correctly as per the exam instructions. Check that you have saved
and named your file correctly and uploaded the correct file. If your
time runs out while you are uploading this is not considered a
technical issue

Open Book Exam
• The final exam is worth 50% of the course mark
• This is an open book examination with students
having access to material on their computers &
Internet, including material on Canvas
• If you copy and paste material, you need to give
attribution. i.e use quotes when you use the
exact words AND always state the source
• A failure to give attribution will result in your
paper being subject to further scrutiny for
plagiarism
• Open-book exams do not permit the use of
third-party communication or collaboration
apps or websites. Access to any such app or
website is strictly prohibited during your exam and
is a serious academic integrity breach

Instructions to Students
• This exam consists of five questions, but you should
attempt three questions ONLY out of the five
questions
• The questions are worth different marks.
• Question 1 is worth 20 marks (72 minutes)
• Question 2A or 2B is worth 15 marks (54 minutes)
• Question 3A or 3B is worth 15 marks (54 minutes)
• If you answer all of the questions, only the first three
questions in each section will be marked

Maximum Page Limit
• STUDENTS MUST USE TIMES NEW ROMAN
SIZE 12 (SINGLE SPACED)
• There is a MAXIMUM PAGE LIMIT in writing this
exam, namely 5 PAGES in TOTAL
• If students write more than 5 pages, the examiners will not
read the extra pages

Technical Instructions
• Please clearly label your questions and complete your answers to three
questions in one single Word document
• This exam must be taken on a computer or laptop with satisfactory
internet connectivity. It must NOT be taken on a mobile device
• Please restart your computer, update your internet browser, & clear
your browser's cache before beginning this exam. Google Chrome and
Mozilla Firefox are the preferred browsers for accessing Canvas
• If you are uncertain about a question during the exam, answer to the
best of your ability. Do not contact the teaching team during the exam
• If you have technical difficulties during the exam that you cannot fix,
email canvas.tests@sydney.edu.au with your unit of study code, contact
number and SID. If the technical difficulties affect your ability to
complete the exam you will need to describe your problems on a
Student Declaration and apply for Special Consideration

• The entire course is examinable, particularly in
relation to potential essay topics
• The exam will have 1 or 2 problem-type
question(s)
• Two topics which lend themselves to problem
type questions are:
• Insider Trading
• Transnational Corruption/Foreign Bribery
