AIDM7370 AI Theories and Applications Individual Report Assignment
Description
The individual assignment consists on the analysis of an application of AI techniques to real world
problems.

Topic
The available topics are as below:
• Image recognition
• Video recognition
• Fake news detection
• Automatic question answering/Chatbot
• Speech recognition
• Machine translation
• Emotion recognition
• Self-driving
• Recommendation systems
Select one topic that interests you most on BU eLearning system (4 students per topic maximum, first
come first served). The topic selection is available from 9.30am, Mar 7.

Report
Submit your individual report (no more than 800 words in English) where you analyze and compare
TWO practical applications of the AI techniques involved.
Focus especially on how the problem is modelled and which machine learning technique has been used
(artificial neural network/deep learning).
Describe the dataset (if the information is available) and explain the AI algorithms involved in the
application.
Use of images and tables correctly captioned is welcomed (but optional).
