ISE 525 Midterm Exam
General Instructions


1) Time allowed: 1 hour, 20 minutes

2) Open Book, Open Notes:
A student is allowed to use any written reference materials.
Students are not allowed to use the internet to search for reference materials.

3) Communication:
Students are expected to work on the exam independently.
Communication with other students during the exam is not allowed.

4) Calculators and Computers:
Students are allowed to use any calculator or computer to perform basic
arithmetic. Students are not allowed to use matrix algebra, statistical analysis,
or programmable functions during the exam.

5) Show Intermediate Calculations:
A correct numerical result is not sufficient to earn full credit for a question.
A student must show underlying formulas and intermediate results that
demonstrate how the final results are achieved by hand.
