Portfolio Management Project
Team-Focused Assignment (30 marks)
This assignment has you working as a team on an applied project. You will be assessed both
as a team (15 marks) and individually, for your contributions to the team outcomes (15 points).
The overall focus will be on the application of portfolio management theories in practice.
You are performing the role of an in-house investment research team of an industry
superannuation fund, Abercrombie Superannuation Pty Ltd. Your task is structured as
investment guidance that is delivered to the superannuation fund’s investment committee.
Your team is unchanged from Project 1.

Review the project brief, the Canvas materials provided, and other public information.
Consider this in the context of the specific areas where the superannuation fund is seeking
guidance. This will allow your team members effective participation in the "brainstorming"
meeting.
Workshops
Workshop attendance
All students are required to contribute during the Week 9-12 workshops as important
teamwork and interaction with facilitators will be undertaken during this time. During the
workshops, the practitioners and academics will engage extensively with teams and act as
mentors and facilitators. During Week 12 workshop teams will be presenting their work to the
investment committee.
When
During regularly scheduled class times.
Where
For students enrolled in the unit’s CC workshops (i.e. on-campus or ‘face-to-face’ delivery),
the Camperdown Campus workshop locations as designated in their University timetable. For
those students enrolled in online/remote (RE) workshops, workshop meetings will be
conducted using Zoom video-conferencing software. Details of the Zoom sessions for each of
these RE workshops will be given in the Zoom section of the Canvas Site (select the Zoom
item on the menu running down the left side of this page).
